Cette maison est à recommander aux familles avec enfants. (original) Es war eine ganz neue Erfahrung ein Objekt mitten im Wald, alleinstehend, zu mieten. Ruhe pur. Wir wurden von den Eigentümern sehr herzlich empfangen und uns wurde alles erklärt. Vom Pizzaofen bis zum Kaminofen usw. Ein sehr nettes Paar, von dem wir auch einiges zur Historie erfuhren. Die Gegend ist sehr urig. Es gibt viele Wanderwege und Ausflüge in die nähere Umgebung sind zu empfehlen. Man muss allerdings beachten, dass es erst mal 10 min mit dem Auto durch den Wald geht. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und man hat nicht das Gefühl, dass es sich um ein Ferienhaus handelt. Es ist alles vorhanden, das man braucht. La cuisine a tout ce qu'il faut, du robot ménager au grand frigo + même un frigo supplémentaire dans le garde-manger. propriétaires sympas. Es ist einfach alles da, angefangen von der komplett ausgestatten Kücher über Holbackofen, Grillmöglichkeiten nebst Holzlager, Sauna, eigene Trinkwasserquelle, diverse Spiele, Tischtennisplatte, Fußballkicker, jede Menge gemütliche Sitzecken in und ums Haus und viel Ruhe mitten im Wald. Einziges Manko ist, dass die Unterkunf für Personen mit körperlichem Handykap weniger geeignet ist. Es waren sehr schöne Tage mit der Großfamilie und wenn der nette Gastgeber nichts dagegen hat wollen wir das irgendwann wiederholen.

Tout cela a contribué à faire de notre séjour avec nos amis un pur moment de bonheur, propice au lâcher prise et au ressourcement. Die voll ausgestattete Küche und gelegentlich die Feuerstelle außen machte jedes Essen samt Zubereitung zu einem Gemeinschaftsevent. Die zahlreichen Wandermöglichkeiten direkt ab dem Haus haben uns von der ersten Minute an Erholung pur geboten. Auch für andere sportliche Aktivitäten war am Haus ausreichend Platz vorhanden. Die Unterkunft ist ideal für naturverbundene Gruppen oder Familien - nicht alltägliche Beobachtungen und Erlebnisse sind inklusive, wenn man der Natur lauscht. Tout est parfait et le fait d'être seul au milieu de la clairière est d'une beauté à couper le souffle. Die Unterkunft ist super ruhig und idyllisch gelegen, und lädt daher zum entspannen, abschalten und verweilen ein. Die Mühle hat ganz viel Charme und die Zimmer sind sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Francis und seine Frau waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Sans oublier la piscine naturelle où on se baigne avec les grenouilles, les salamandres et même des esturgeons, c’est idyllique. On y retourne dès que possible!

Le site est superbe, aucun bruit ne vient troubler le calme de la nature. Seuls les chants d'oiseaux ont droit de cité, pas de circulation, pas de rumeur citadine. La maison est encore plus jolie que sur les photos. Le gîte est spacieux: nous y étions 8, sans aucune gêne. Chacun avait son espace. Les pièces communes sont vastes. La maison est très bien équipée, très confortable, et aussi très propre. Les propriétaires sont charmants, aimables et disponibles. Les petites ont pu se dépenser sans risque et sans déranger le voisinage. Les adultes ont pu se détendre, profiter de la nature. Le lieu est propice à la randonnée. Nous recommandons l'endroit, mais chut c'est un secret ne le dites à personne ou seulement à des visiteurs recommandables.-)

In den Räumlichkeiten gab es für Gross und Klein viele Orte und Rückzugsmöglichkeiten zum Spielen, Unterhalten, musizieren, ebenso auf der grossen Terrasse sowie natürlich im Park. Da wir uns weitgehend selbst verpflegten, kamen uns die gut und sehr ansprechend ausgestattete Küche und ein grosser weiterer Abstellraum mit zweitem Kühlschrank sehr zu Pass, ebenso eine Grill-Möglichkeit draussen

Spacious, surrounded by nature, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, sauna, excellent water pressure and sustained temperature (one of those things that you don’t miss until you don’t have it…) — no negatives. Minutes from excellent restaurants but secluded as well — except for the prying eyes of the four sheep that live across the stream that flows through the property. The deck provides ample space for sunbathing, breakfast/dinner al fresco, playing cards, or just evening drinks as the bats take to the sky. A fire pit, ping-pong table, and foosball table round out the amenities, and all were put to good use. We didn’t get a chance to fire up the wood-fired pizza oven - shame on us. Also, Francis and family were extremely pleasant to deal with throughout the booking, occupancy, and departure process. We unconditionally recommend the Moulin as a vacation getaway for a group!

Die (kleinen) Kinder konnten ohne Probleme draußen spielen. Die Unterkunft ist auch gut auf Kinder eingestellt: genug Kinderbetten, ein Kinderstuhl und auch Spiele/Bücher waren genug vorhanden. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet: Von allerlei Kaffeemaschinen (Filter, Nespresso, Pads) über Backutensilien bis hin zu Pancake-, Racletteplatten. Nicht zu vergessen der Grill und der Flammkuchen-Holzofen vor der Haustüre.

Ein absoluter Kraftort "in the middle of nowhere". Ein wirklich perfekter Ort um sich ganz auf sich selbst zu konzentrieren, sich mit der Natur zu verbinden und ihre Schönheit auf sich wirken zu lassen. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an Hélène & Francis für ihre Herzlichkeit und dafür, dass sie diese herrliche Oase so liebevoll hergerichtet haben und ihren Mitmenschen zur Verfügung stellen. Wir kommen ganz sicher bald wieder.

Die Betreuung durch die Gastgeber war perfekt. Wir wurden sogar mit einem 5l Bierfässchen in der Zapfanlage persönlich begrüßt. Man kann zahme Siebenschläfer füttern, im Teich schwimmen gehen, Nachts Eulen rufen hören und hat dabei das ganze Haus samt Lichtung für sich. Wir sind sehr dankbar für unsere Woche in der Mühle und werden nächstes Jahr wieder kommen.

Le gîte est très bien équipé et nous n'avons manqué de rien. Notre hôte s'est montré accueillant et disponible. Mention spécial au sauna, qui a ponctué nos journées de balades. Francis was very kind and accommodating and the house is amazingly beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice; we found ourselves admiring various angles of the house and finding new small details and features throughout our weekend. Even though the weather was not perfect, Francis had all the fireplaces roaring at our arrival and left us with plenty of dry, cut firewood. We also enjoyed sitting outside during a cold day next to the large fire pit in front of the house, keeping warm and enjoying nature. We would definitely visit this house again!

Die technischen Geräte sind von guter Qualität und wunderbar ist der Kühlschrank mit Eiswürfelspender. Der Gag für die Biertrinker ist die Zapfanlage für kleine Bierfässer. Eine nette Geste war es, dass wir zur Begrüßung ein gekühltes Fass Bier und eine Flasche Wein erhielten. Es steht ausreichend Holz zum Anfeuern des Flammkuchenofens zur Verfügung, aus dem die Pizza sehr lecker war. Unsere große Familie mit Großeltern und Enkelkindern mit insgesamt 12 Personen, hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt. Dieser einsame und idyllisch gelegene Ort in der schönen Umgebung war in dieser Coronazeit sehr geeignet um zu entspannen und für Kinder ein wunderbarer großer Spielplatz. Für uns war es ein gelungener Urlaub

Luxury such as pizza oven and good showers. Cozy atmosphere. Great mountainbike and hiking options in the area. Only downside is that it takes quite some time to get to a main road, but you get lots of privacy in return.

The house is a great base for cycling and hiking in the area and has all the facilities to relax. We enjoyed the sauna, swimming pond and pizza oven and appreciated the quiet environment. Huge recommendation!

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 6 Kindern da und waren vollauf zufrieden! Besonders schön: Wald direkt vor der Tür, Schafe beobachten, der Flammkuchenofen und natürlich Tischtennisplatte und Tischkicker im Keller.

Wir wären 11 Personen und haben ausreichend Platz gehabt. Das Haus war sauber, der Check In hat sich ohne Probleme gestaltet. Sehr viele Plätze, an die man sich zurückziehen kann. Es liegt auf dem Grund eines einsamen Tales, wenn man von dort aus spazieren geht, begegnet man niemandem. Sehr einsam, der nächste Ort ist eine viertel Stunde mit dem Auto entfernt (mehr oder weniger im Shritttempo auf einem Waldweg gefahren), der nächste Ort mit einem Supermarkt (Drulingen) noch um einiges weiter.Wir waren eine Woche da und alles in allem war es sehr entspannend, gerne wieder!

We came from Australia and England and wanted to be near the Christmas markets and to see some snow....but no snow!! We loved the mill. It was warm and comfortable with plenty of room for 13 of us to enjoy. The cooking facilities were quite adequate to cook our Christmas feast and we used the outdoor oven as well. It meant the guys could get involved in the cooking! There was plenty of hot water for the bathrooms and the beds were all comfortable. The children spent time down in the basement which opened to the front of the house, playing lots of table tennis and the sauna got plenty of use by the adults. It’s located in a little valley with a few sheep grazing in the paddock. I can imagine in the summer it would be a grand place for lots of walks. Our hosts were very accommodating and we thank Francis and Michel for the use of their lovely property and their kind attention. We had a week there and we all wish it had been longer.

Das Haus bietet alles, was eine größere Gruppe benötigt. Vom gemütlichen Kachelofen über die Eismaschine bis zur Bier-Zapfanlage und Sauna. Hier kann man es eine Weile zusammen aushalten. Zu wärmeren Jahreszeiten lässt sich sicher auch noch mehr mit der näheren Umgebung anfangen. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit dem Wetter. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns gut in die Funktionen des Hauses eingewiesen. Alles in Allem eine komfortable Unterkunft für größere Gruppen oder Familien, die inmitten intakter Natur eine gewisse Zeit miteinander verbringen wollen.

Das Haus ist ein Kleinod in totaler Alleinlage. Unsere Kinder wollten gar nicht mehr weg. Die Ausstattung ist toll, neben jeglichem Standard werden zusätzlich Filme, eine WII, Spiele, ein Kicker, eine Tischtennisplatte, Bücher und Spiele angeboten. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen und können das Haus wärmstens empfehlen.

Die Ausstattung der Küche ist sehr gut und man kann sich selbst bei schlechtem Wetter dort sehr gut aufhalten. Mit 12 Erwachsenen war dort genügend Raum für alle , um sich aufzuhalten! Herrlich ist die Abgeschiedenheit und die Ruhe. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen! Auch ist Francis sehr freundlich und die Kommunikation war immer schnell und angenehm! Vielen Dank!

Ideal for those looking for peace and nature. The only thing you hear is the splashing water of the stream. Ideal base for the many hiking trails in the area or the sights in the wider area in Alsace. The house is comfortably furnished and fully equipped. Guests are warmly welcomed by the owner who is very helpful.

Le séjour a été très agréable, le cadre est superbe, la maison de très bonne finition, chaleureuse et bien entretenue. Le domaine est paisible et étendu. De nombreuses balades sont possibles. Les propriétaires sont, par ailleurs, aimables, arrangeants et courageux (vu l'entretien nécessité par une si grande demeure implantée dans un domaine pareil !) Merci encore !

Unsere Kinder konnten den ganzen Tag draußen spielen aber auch für schlechtes Wetter wäre genug Abwechslung mit Tischkicker und Co. Der Kachelofen und die Sauna sind super um sich nach einer Wanderung durch den Wald wieder aufzuwärmen.

Le vieux moulin a été rénové avec goût et il ne manque rien pour le confort de chacun. Malgré le mauvais temps, nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce havre de paix, de silence et de verdure. J’espère que nous aurons l’occasion d’y revenir très vite.

This time with a group of 11 on a cycling holiday. The property is perfect for a large group with comfortable/flexible bedrooms and excellent common areas. The house is very well equipped and the addition of the Swedish sauna and shower room downstairs is a great addition. The property is spotless, comfortable and in a lovely, absolutely quiet and peaceful location. We used the outdoor grill repeatedly and dined alfresco on the balcony nearly every evening. We used the house as a base for 4 days of cycling in the region, riding out/back to Saverne, Dabo, Le Petite-Pierre and all over the region. The full basement was perfect for storing our road bikes indoors. The folks who joined us and experienced the property for the first time were floored with the quality and beauty of the location/property. Bravo to Francis and Hélène as the property remains an absolute gem! Hope to come again soon. Greg LaDoe

It is even better than the pictures, enclosed in a valley with no close neighbors. We were two families with kids aged 3-10 and there was lots of room inside the house and outside. The location is great for exploring the forest and local villages in the area. You are a few hours from the Alsace wine-route but there is plenty to do in the area (and a good bakery close by). Playing table-tennis in the basement, walking the forest trails, grilling marshmallows in the fire pit and baking pizzas in the outdoor oven - this vacation has been relaxing and amazing. Thanks Francis and Helene for a great tour and hospitality!

Perfectly suited for our family vacation of 12 people: spacious bedrooms, enough showers and restrooms, and a well-equipped, open kitchen. On top of that a big TV with lots of DVDs and a Wii, plus all things needed for toddlers (e.g. highchair, mobile bed), and in the basement a new sauna, table tennis and table soccer. Communication with Francis was very friendly, fast, and easy, as was the warm welcoming at check-in with a cool beer from the tap in the kitchen as a welcome gift. The living room is generous, has a big couch, a small dinette, and access to the entertainment room. At the dining table all twelve of us were easily seated. The terrace is big and provides a great view of the huge garden, the BBQ area, the four sheep, the valley, and the surrounding woods. A superb location – relaxing at the big house, hiking in the area, as well as sight-seeing in the area – we love to come back! Highly recommended.

Le gite est extrêmement bien équipé et offre tout ce qu'on a besoin en tant de groupes d'amis - ou de famille - pour savourer un séjour inoubliable dans le calme de la nature alsacienne. Le propriétaire nous a accueilli avec grande gentillesse et disponibilité - rien nous manquait. Merci infiniment. A recommander à deux cents pour cent.

Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, sehr geräumig, alle Schlafzimmer sind individuell ausgestattet und die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles befand sich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Herr Michel, der Vermieter, war äusserst zuvorkommend und hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir können die Heiligenmühle bestens weiter empfehlen.

Chacun a vitre trouvé sa place et les châtelains d'un week end ont été ravi. Notre petit fils de 5 ans a demandé que l'on y revienne pour nos 50 ans de mariage!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig, wunderbar ausgestattet und mit Liebe eingerichtet! Die Mühle liegt sehr ruhig und hat viel Grünfläche- für Kinder optimal. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden- wir haben uns rundum absolut wohl gefühlt!

Rooms are clean and comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. Just sitting under the cedar tree and listening to the water wheel sound and thinking of nothing at this place away from everything else is priceless. Mr Francis was very helpful and took us in a tour inside and outside the mill and answered all our questions.

Bis hin zum Flammkuchen Ofen :). Nachts schläft man wie ein Murmeltier durch die wunderbare Ruhe und frische Luft. Ein super Michelin Restaurant ist in 4km zu erreichen. Und nicht zu vergessen... Nous l’avons trouvé. Les photos sur le site sont absolument représentatives de la réalité. De plus quand on arrive, on fait Wouah… Et quand on y est, on se sent très vite chez soi. On y trouve absolument tout et absolument tout est à disposition. Nous n’avions encore jamais vu cela. DVD, Jeux, toutes sortes d’appareils ménagers, de produits nécessaires pour le quotidien. (Sel, épices, sucre, café, thé,…). Incroyable ! Au fur et à mesure du séjour, nous nous sommes très vite rendu compte que tout a été mis en œuvre pour que nous passions d’agréables vacances. Encore merci à nos Hôtes ! Nous vous recommandons cet endroit exceptionnel, si comme nous, vous voulez passer des vacances loin de toutes sortes de pollutions, proche de la nature et des animaux tout en disposant d'un confort d'exception. Le moulin est très bien entretenu et magnifiquement aménagé. L’eau courante est de l’eau de source. Le silence y est absolu. Les arbres autour de la propriété sont magnifiques. Les animaux très divers. Les possibilités de randonnées sont très nombreuses et les restaurants à la petite pierre sont vraiment excellents. Brefs tout pour se ressourcer.

We were two families who enjoyed the house and the surroundings for a week. With excellent hiling and biking trails just outside the door this house is perfect for day excursions. Lots of interresting things to see and do within approx 1h drive from the mill such as the Maginotline, city of Strasbourg & lots of cosy villages. A litte futher is Europapark. It is a mountain biking gem with several outlined trails. The owner is very nice and easy to contact.

We were looking for a place with character, secluded and embedded by nature. And this is exactly what we found. The picture tell it all. But what the picture can't show is how friendly and helpful the tenants, Hélène & Francis Michel are. They made sure every wish was fulfilled (and even had a nice welcome gift prepared for us). When my mother forgot her favorite pillow in the mill, Francis shipped it to her right away. Highly recommended!

Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, alles ist sehr geräumig und sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Der Kachelofen macht wohlige Wärme, wenn das Wetter etwas kühler ist. Die Küche ist zum Kochen für viele Personen bestens ausgestattet.Die Zimmer sehr schön, die Betten gut. Wir haben von dort schöne Fahrradtouren (Rennrad) in die umliegende Gegend gemacht. Alle haben sich wohl gefühlt, das Haus bietet alle Möglichkeiten, sich drinnen und draussen eine gute Zeit zu machen. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert

The place was absolutely wonderful! We travel a lot and prefer to use VRBO and I can tell you this home exceeded all of our expectations. Francis welcomed us upon our arrival and gave us many suggestions for restaurants and attractions in the area. His chateau is beautifully decorated and very warm and comfortable. It has all modern conveniences along with authentic rustic charm. We could not of asked for a better time and the tiny town of La Petite-Pierre was well worth the visit. One of our favorite memories of our trip was relaxing on the spacious porch, sipping a glass of red wine and watching his four goats romp around the hillside. We definitely will be coming back. Très reculé il est vrai, mais c'est exactement ce que nous recherchions. Nous étions dix adultes et un enfants de 3 ans et demi (qui ne s'est pas ennuyé une seconde vu toutes les possibilités qu'offre cet endroit). Il y a énormément d'espace à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur et nous en avons bien profité. La table de ping-pong a également eu beaucoup de succès! Parfait pour les retrouvailles annuelles d'une vieille bande d'amis qui veulent simplement profiter d'un moment entre eux sans penser au train-train quotidien. Pour ceux qui aiment les balades dans la nature, c'est également l'endroit idéal. Nous n'avons manqué de rien! Francis est une personne très disponible et extrêmement sympathique. Je recommande sans hésiter cette destination, pour un moment de détente entre amis ou en famille, avec ou sans enfants! Nous en garderons un magnifique souvenir!

Für unsere Gruppe war die offene Küche mit Übergang zu einem großen Tisch einfach toll. Die Lage ist traumhaft. Die Umgebung bietet viele Möglichkeiten wie z.B. Wandern ... Als wir ankamen hatten die Besitzer bereits den Kamin angezündet, was zu einer wirklich heimeligen Atmosphäre führte.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich & komfortabel eingerichtet, die Bäder auf einem modernen, neuen Stand. Die offene Küche läßt keine Wünsche offen und gemeinsames Kochen+Essen (am komfortablen, großen Tisch für 12 Pers.+) wird zum 'Event'. Wir waren im Oktober dort, der Kacheloffen in der Wohnküche sorgt zusätzlich für eine tolle Atmospäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Jedes Zimmer und auch der Aufenthaltsraum ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichet. In der Küche fehlte es uns an nichts. Die Versorgung mit frisches Quellwasser war ein Highlight. Auch in der Küche ist an jedes Detail gedacht worden. Aber das beste ist die Lage: Umgeben von Wald und abgeschieden von jeglichem Lärm, kommt man hier wirklich zur Ruhe. Wir kommen wieder!

Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es bietet ausreichend Raum für uns alle, aber auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten und kuschelige Ecken. Eine Kinderspielecke mit Spielsachen (mit Fernseher und DVD-Spieler und jede Menge DVDs) ist im alten Haupteingangsbereich eingerichtet. Eines der Doppelbetten ist etwas kurz (es sind wunderschöne, alte Holzbetten), was für größere Menschen vielleicht ein Problem sein könnte. Die anderen Betten sind aber normal lang. Die Terrasse ist großzügig, die Küche groß und luxuriös (mit amerikanischem Kühlschrank, Nespresso-Maschine, Bierfässchen-Pumpstation, Miele-Spülmaschine). Die technische Ausstattung ist super, das W-LAN-Netz und (mittlerweile auch) Handynetz sind stark. Die Lage ist sehr hübsch und romantisch (auch sehr abgeschieden) und man kann von dort gut Wanderungen oder Radtouren machen. Nur für kleinere Kinder ist der Bach und der Teich natürlich ein Risiko. Draußen steht eine riesige Wiese zum Spielen, eine Feuerstelle und eine Schaukel (eine normale und eine Doppelschaukel) zur Verfügung. Ziegen kann man mit Brot füttern. Eine Tischtennisplatte und ein Tischkicker und Fahrräder sind im Keller vorhanden. Herr und Frau Michel sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank nochmals für die wunderschöne Zeit in Ihrem Haus! Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

We were an extended family of 6 that stayed for 6 days using it as a base to explore nearby Alsace sights. The house is a bit off from the main track, nicely secluded but is close enough to "town" if desired. The house itself is massive and well appointed with a nice mix of historic feel with modern amenities. The deck is great for catching the sunlight entering the glade and the sound of water and the mill wheel is very soothing. We also enjoyed cooking outdoor in the fire pit. Inside, the bedrooms are all comfy and a couple that have deck access. While we didn't use it, the loft bedroom would be perfect for a big family group with a number of kids. The common areas (kitchen, dining, living and TV rooms) are also well done. Playing ping pong in basement and having access to a mountain bike was a nice option as well. We took a number of walks as the forest area offers a variety of terrain from back roads to forest trails..they are pretty well marked as well. I took out a mtb on a couple of 20-25 mile mixed surface rides (road/gravel/trail) and the routes and scenery was fantastic. Great for a large group with the 6 bedrooms and lots of common space. Getting in/out is ok although on back roads...the location does show up onGoogle maps though! Lohr, Graufthal and particularly La Petit Pierre are nice places for a lunch/dinner. Francis and Helene were great hosts, met us at the property at the start and showed us how things worked and were very easy to interact with. There was local info available that was helpful as a resource. Loved the place...only downside was that we couldn't stay longer!

Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Diese ehemalige aufwändig umgebaute Mühle ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert. Die nicht weit entfernten Städte Straßburg, Freiburg und auch Saverne sind lohnenswerte Ausflugsziele. Alles ist sehr korrekt gelaufen.

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt ausgestattet und bietet innen und außern reichlich Platz für eine große Gruppe. Zum Haus gehören zwei Fischteiche in denen Francis uns erlaubt hat zu angeln (und wir haben tatsächlich eine fette Forelle rausgezogen). Francis war extrem freundlich, hat uns mit Bier versorgt, alles gezeigt und gute Wander Tips gegeben. Die Unterkunft ist auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

La maison est conviviale et donne la vue sur un très grand terrain. Les hôtes sont très attentionnés. Nous avons adoré notre séjour qui fut une grande bouffée d'oxygène en pleine nature. Encore merci à Francis et sa femme pour leur accueil. Nous reviendrons c'est certain.

La propreté et le souci du moindre détail nous ont permis de passer un séjour inoubliable. L'accueil fut chaleureux par un propriétaire toujours prêt a partager son enthousiasme pour la propriété, et toujours prêt a porter conseil, que ce soit avant, pendant et même après notre séjour. Wir (acht Freunde) haben ein "besonderes" Haus für eine tolle Urlaubswoche im Elsass gesucht und mit der Heiligenmühle absolut das Richtige getroffen. Familie Michel hat das Anwesen mit viel Geschmack restauriert und zu einem großzügigen, gemütlichen Wohnhaus umgebaut, in dem sich absolut alles für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt findet. Schlafzimmer, Bäder - alle geschmackvoll eingerichtet, geräumig und sehr sauber. Eine perfekt ausgestattete, offene Küche mit großzügigem Wohn- Eßbereich, eine tolle Terrasse auf dem riesigen Grundstück in absoluter Ruhe...Joggen, Wandern, Boule - alles direkt vor der Haustüre möglich. Auch die umliegenden Restaurants, Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und natürlich die freundliche und sehr hilfsbereite Betreuung durch unsere Gastgeber liessen keine Wünsche offen. Merci Helene und Francis - wir kommen gerne wieder!

The mill was ideal, set in the heart of the forest where the Autumn colours were magnificent and the forest floor thick with fungi. One of the group is an expert on fungi, and led several foraging expeditions which produced edible additions to our meals. The accommodation was as described, though with five bedrooms on one floor (we only used four of them) a larger group could find the single bathroom and separate toilet on that floor a bit restrictive. There was another bathroom with toilet, and a separate toilet, on the ground floor. Outside there was the gentle background noise of the waterwheel and fountain, though the description "river" for the stream flowing through the property was a bit of an exaggeration. Of course, being in the heart of the forest, you really need a car, but there are several excellent restaurants and shops within a few kilometres. The owner had the wonderful stove lit when we arrived, and we kept it going from the large woodpile all the week we were there, so the house was very warm.

Wir haben uns wie im Paradies gefühlt, Ruhe, herrliche Luft, Sonne, im Wald Steinpilze gefunden, es gibt zahlreiche Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und sehr gute Restaurants in der Nahe. Da steht doch tatsächlich ein kleines Schloß im Wald! Die Lage mitten im Wald ist wunderbar für eine Gruppe geeignet, die auch mal bis in die tiefe Nacht feiern will. Alle Räume sind liebvoll und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Die üppig große Balkonterasse lädt zum ausgiebigen Frühstück im Freien ein. Die technische Ausstattung lässt keinen Komfort vermissen. Die fehlende Erreichbarkeit im Mobilfunknetz wird durch eine gute Wlan Verbindung kompensiert. Vielen Dank. Ich denke wir sehen uns mal wieder in der Heiligenmühle. ..... Letzte Woche haben wir eine "Femtocell" Vorrichtung, die das Mobilfunknetz sendet, installiert. Ich habe die neue Mieter mit ihren Handys auf der Terrasse telephonieren gesehen. Es scheint zufunktionieren.

We rented the house with another family, so our company consisted of 4 adults, 4 adolescents and 1 ight year old boy. We all had a wonderful time. The owners, Hélène and Francis, are very friendly and helpful. They only stay in their part of the house in their holidays, so you have the whole valley just for yourselves! It is amazing to have so much space and beauty around you. We went for walks and biking trips, but also stayed in and around the house a lot, just to enjoy the feeling of being part of some noble family: it really feels like living in some grand estate.The only thing that was missing to fit this picture, was a bunch of servants ;-) This place is probably also perfect for Christmas holidays. Or autumn, or early spring. Oh well, it's just great. If you get the change: go here

The Mill is both spacious and cozy, with beautiful views and great natural lighting, clean, comfortable, and fully furnished. The main living space easily accommodated our group of 10 in the kitchen and for dinners at the large dining table, and offered nooks for those who wanted some quiet space to read or to view a movie via wi fi or the DVD player. The bedrooms are well laid out and permitted our three families to choose the most congenial sleeping arrangements. The outside space was also wonderful. The little vale that hosts the Mill provided almost complete solitude. The kids wandered the large meadow searching for slugs and hoping for a second sighting of the fox kit, while we threw open the doors and windows and enjoyed the bird song as we sat on the patio. There is one hazard the kids need warning off, but outside of that -- with no traffic and few passersby -- we let the kids roam freely, a welcome break from our often-confining travels. Francis, the proprietor, was helpful and kind, a pleasure to interact with. As always, your mileage may vary, but for our group the Mill was wonderful and I would unreservedly recommend it to a friend.

Die Schlüselübergabe lief gleich sehr unkompliziert und wir kamen in einem top ausgestatteten und liebevoll eingerichtetem Haus an. Jedes Schlafzimmer ist besonders gestaltet, die Betten sehr bequem. Der große Wohnbereich mit Küche öffnet sich zu einer großzügigen Terrasse mit weitem und einsamen Blick in das Tal. Treppen sind meist durch kleine Holztürchen für Kinder gesichert. Feuerholz für Kamin und Grillabende liegt in der Garage bereit. Der nächste Supermarkt ist etwas entfernt, Einkäufe sollte man also nicht spontan erledigen müssen. Die sich drehende Mühle, ein Wassertrog, Schaukeln, 3 eingezäunte Schafe und die weitläufige Wiese waren ein Highlight für die Kinder. Uns Erwachsenen hat die saubere Luft und Spaziergänge durch den Wald sehr gut getan.

Nous étions un groupe de 12 personnes et tout l'espace nécessaire pour cohabiter tous ensemble. Les chambres sont belles, spacieuses et très joliment meublées. La situation est idyllique dans une vallée loin de la civilisation,mais le confort est au rendez-vous. C'était le paradis pour les enfants qui ne voulaient plus quitter les lieux. L'accueil très sympathique et les explications du propriétaire étaient la cerise sur le gâteau . Nous retournerons surement à cet endroit ou la nature est encore intacte. Merci Monsieur et Madame Michel de mettre cette belle maison ou tout est parfait et bien pensé à notre disposition!

Die Mühle ist wunderbar gemütlich und perfekt eingerichtet. Für das Familientreffen mit 13 Personen war die Mühle der ideale Ort. Wir hatten ausreichend grosse Töpfe und eine lange Tafel, an der wir alle sitzen konnten. Im Sommer muss es dort bestimmt noch schöner sein. Vielen Dank Herr Michel, es hat Spass gemacht! It is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. All the rooms were very well furnished and spotlessly clean, and there was plenty of space for all of us. The owners were there to greet us when we arrived and were very helpful throughout our stay. We were a group of 12 (4 adults and 8 young people aged 17-24) and we all thoroughly enjoyed the house in different ways. The men enjoyed long walks (usually ending up at Au Vieux Moulin)/ the boys went fishing/ I loved sitting on the verandah reading and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the place. All of us had a great stay. Although set a long way from the main roads we ventured out on several days and would recommend a trip to Strasbourg, Colmar, Citadelle de Bitche and the Europa Park (just over the border into Germany) was one of the best theme parks we have ever been to, definitely worth a trip.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das sehr schön restaurierte Gebäude liegt in einem unglaublich idyllischen kleinen Tal, das vollständig von der Außenwelt abgeschnitten ist. Sehr gut zum direkt loswandern etc. Einkaufen kann man aber trotzdem innerhalb ca. 10 Minuten Autofahrt. Das Haus selbst ist liebevoll renoviert mit schönen neuen Bädern und schönen, großen Schlafzimmern. Die Ausstattung (Küche, Entertainment, etc.) lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden wenn möglich wiederkommen!

Fête de mariage inoubliable comment filed 06-08-14 date of stay 12-07-14 comments filed by Cécile & Xavier Nous ne pouvions rêver mieux pour cette fête de mariage dans l'intimité que nous souhaitions prolonger toute la semaine… Quelle surprise quand après avoir traversé la forêt, on voit le moulin au bout du chemin! Comme nous, nos proches ont été séduits par ce lieu magique que nous appelions tous "le château"! Francis et Hélène se sont investis pour nous aider à réaliser ce projet et nous ont donné des contacts qui ont rendu l'évènement possible : un traiteur impeccable et Yves et Anne qui nous aidés avec une énergie et une gentillesse formidable. Nous garderons tous un souvenir incroyable de cette semaine à Heilingenmuhle, en particulier les enfants : les balades en forêt, la pêche, les feux de camps, les parties de ping-pong, les tartes flambées, les grandes tablées… Nous nous sommes sentis chez nous parce que tout est pensé, choisi avec goût : les matériaux, les objets, les tissus… on se sentait invités dans une maison de famille, on a presque fini par croire que c'était la nôtre! Donc un grand bravo à Hélène et Francis et beaucoup de beaux moments à tous leurs futurs visiteurs!

Ce fut magique d'1 bout a l'autre de notre séjour. 1 grand merci a Francis et son épouse de ns avoir ouvert les portes de la partie privée de leur gite qui, après de longs travaux ont vraiment 1 adresse remarquable. Comment ne pas oublier le traiteur P. Gangloff ainsi que l"artisan de tarte flambée, merci a eux également. Muriel et moi meme ns vs ne remercions beaucoup, franchement ve etes sur la bonne voie. Bravo.

Leider war das Wetter nicht so, wie wir es uns gewünscht haben, wir konnten aber trotzdem Angeln, Lagerfeuer machen und am Wasser spielen. Das Haus hat 6 Schlafzimmer, wobei zwei hiervon durch eine Treppe miteinander verbunden sind, dazu zwei Bäder und zwei extra WCs. Es ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit dem Blick fürs Detail. Bis zur nächsten Ortschaft sind es etwa 4 km; bis dahin, Natur pur! Bei den Eigentümern haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir werden die Mühle gern weiterempfehlen und bestimmt wiederkommen. Cheminée alsacienne à la chaleur enveloppante, du bois à disposition, une situation parfaite au milieu des cristalleries Lalique, St Louis, une forêt aux arbres d'une hauteur spectaculaire, un calme assuré, une cuisine et salles de bains très bien équipées, une WIFI opérationnelle ! Des chambres avec une literie confortable, une salle commune avec de grands espaces ouverts vers les terrasses en balcon plein sud, barbecue au bois local. Le silence des téléphones portables est en concordance avec la naissance de deux bébés faons tout près du gite, quelques instants avant notre arrivée !!! Un accueil par les propriétaires à la hauteur de la qualité des lieux chargés d’histoire… Ce gîte au cœur de la forêt est parfaitement adapté pour un séjour en groupe, entre amis ou en familles.

There is a stream behind this property which my son and nephew played in everyday! The owner Francis was extremely welcoming and helpful. Although he spoke limited English, he tried his best to understand and was great with restaurant recommendations and tips. Francis has a beautiful house which has everything we could ask for. We are a group of 11 (5 adults, 3 teenage kids and 3 children). All of us had a great stay. The rooms were nicely furnished and the kitchen fully equipped to do cooking. There is table tennis at the basement and bicycles the kids could ride. Francis even brought in a soccer table which delighted the children. All in all, we had a great time at this property and would highly recommend anyone who wants to escape city living for a while and be one with nature

Es ist mitten in der Natur gelegen und lädt zu langen Spaziergängen im Wald ein. Leider war es bei unserem Aufenthalt etwas nass, sonst hätte die große Wiese vor dem Haus die Kinder zum Spielen und Toben eingeladen. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet was man sich wünschen kann, selbst Spielzeug und DVDs mit Kinderfilme. Die Bäder waren super, besonders die Massagedusche war bei allen beliebt. Die offene Küche ist gut eingerichtet und der große Esstisch war ideal (5 Erwachsene, 4 Kinder) für gemütliche Mahlzeiten. Die runde Sitzecke wurde von uns gerne für lange Kartenspiel-Abende genutzt und das Zimmer mit Fernseher zum Spielzimmer für die Kinder genutzt. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir können das Ferienhaus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Idyllischer Mühle für entspannte Familienferien comment filed 04-12-13 date of stay 01-11-13 comments filed by Sonia U Wir waren mit unserer Familie, zwei Großeltern, vier Eltern und 4 kleinen Kindern im Alter von 3,5 Jahren bis 3 Monaten am Wochenende vom 01.11. - 03.11. 2013 in der Heiligenmühle zu Gast. Die Anfahrt von Deutschland war problemlos, schwieriger war die Fahrt von Lohr zu Mühle, Doch wenn man die Anfahrtsskizze genau liest (was wir nicht genügend beachtet hatten) findet man den Weg. Man fährt ca. 2 km einen engen und sehr ausgefahrenen Waldweg und fährt nach einer scharfen Kurve links den Privatweg hinein. Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Frau und Herrn Michel begrüßt. Sie sprechen ein sehr gutes Deutsch. Das Haus ist nicht nur von außen ein Traum. Auch die Innenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alle Räume sind sehr liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles war sehr sauber. Der große Wohnraum mit offener Küche, einem riesigen Esstisch und den verschiedenen Sitzecken war für unsere große Familie optimal. Die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum Spielen.Durch die Fußbodenheizung war der Boden nicht kalt. Wärme spendete auch der große Kachelofen. Das Feuer prasselte schon angenehm bei unserer Ankunft. Obwohl es ein altes Haus ist, roch alles sehr frisch und angenehm. Alle Bäder und Toiletten waren neu und sehr modern. Lediglich die Türen zu den Schlafräumen und die Holztreppe knarrten ein wenig, das gehört aber in einem alten Haus dazu! Leider hat es an dem Wochenende fast nur geregnet. Das hat unserem Wohlbefinden aber keinen Abbruch getan. Die Kinder hatten entsprechende Regenkleidung dabei. So konnten sie auch bei dem schlechten Wetter draußen spielen. Wir können Ihr Haus nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen

Un accueil charmant, une décoration typiquement locale et en particulier un poêle en faïence qui chauffe très efficacement ont contribué à la réussite de notre séjour et de notre fête de famille. Deux regrets en ce qui nous concerne, un WE de trois jours bien trop court et des grands animaux qui ne se sont pas montrés !!

Le cadre est splendide, dans le parc naturel regional, avec la forêt qui s'étend à perte de vue sur les collines des Vosges. Le site se découvre, au détour d'un virage du chemin de forêt qui court sous les arbres à 10 mn du premier village. La maison est belle, chaleureuse et bien équipée. Les équipements sont modernes et aimeraient avoir les mêmes à la maison.. C'est surtout l'accueil que l'on retient. Nous nous sommes sentis comme les invités de parents éloignés qui auraient pris soin de leurs neveux et nièces et de leurs enfants. Nous sommes venus avec nos enfants (3 et 1,5 ans) et ils nous en parlent encore. En point négatif, on peut relever que les réseaux GSM ne passent pas. Au final, on s'y fait, d'autant qu'on peut facilement router ses appels vers la ligne fixe du moulin. J'ai pu y gérer mes affaires professionnelles sans encombre. Bref, un bel endroit, tenu par de bonnes personnes et que nous recommandons vivement.
